Coexistence of Lines.
Clothing is not only something we wear.
It carries an atmosphere, an emotion, a sense of who we are.
For this collaboration, UNTOLD came together with painter and artist MHAK as MASAHIRO AKUTAGAWA.
Born in Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima, MHAK shaped his artistic perspective through fashion, skate culture, and street influences. He began working independently as an artist in his late twenties, and has since continued to develop a visual language recognized in Japan and beyond.
There is something immediately recognizable in MHAK’s work.
Repeated curves.
Abstract structures.
Spaces left unfinished.
His work often inhabits the space between order and chaos. What emerges is a balance that feels unfamiliar, yet strangely natural.
At the heart of that practice is one continuing idea:
coexistence with everyday spaces.
His work does not seek to overpower its surroundings. It blends into them, becoming part of the atmosphere itself. Across murals, products, architecture, and collaborations, that philosophy remains unchanged.
Over the years, collaborations with adidas Skateboarding, Levi’s, THE NORTH FACE, and Fender have carried MHAK’s visual language into different cultures and mediums.
The collaboration with UNTOLD continues that approach.
The logo was not simply presented as it was. It was taken apart, layered, and reconstructed, moving beyond typography into another form.
Not a logo to read.
A logo to feel.
Not too polished.
Not overexplained.
Only enough tension to stay in the memory.
That subtle ambiguity is at the heart of this collaboration.

服は、ただ身に着けるものではありません。空気感や感情、そして自分らしさを宿すものです。
今回のコラボレーションで、UNTOLDはペインターでありアーティストでもあるMHAK as MASAHIRO AKUTAGAWAと手を組みました。
福島県会津若松市に生まれたMHAKは、ファッション、スケートカルチャー、ストリートからの影響を通じて、独自の芸術的な視点を育んできました。20代後半に独立したアーティストとしての活動を始めて以来、国内外で認められる独自の視覚表現を築き続けています。
MHAKの作品は、ひと目でそれとわかります。
繰り返される曲線。抽象的な構造。未完成の空間。
その作品はしばしば秩序と混沌の間に存在し、見慣れないのに、不思議と自然に感じられるバランスを生み出します。
制作の中心には、一貫した考えがあります。
日常の空間との共存。
環境を圧倒するのではなく、その中に溶け込み、空気そのものの一部となること。壁画、プロダクト、建築、コラボレーションと、表現の形が変わっても、その哲学は変わりません。
これまでMHAKは、adidas Skateboarding、Levi’s、THE NORTH FACE、Fenderなどのブランドと協働し、独自の視覚表現をさまざまな文化や媒体へと広げてきました。
今回のUNTOLDとのコラボレーションも、同じアプローチを受け継いでいます。
ロゴをそのままの形で見せるのではなく、解体し、重ね、組み直すことで、文字の表現を超えたものへと変化させました。
読むためのロゴではなく、感じるためのロゴ。
磨き上げすぎず、説明しすぎず。印象を残すだけの、ほどよい緊張感。
その微妙な曖昧さが、このコラボレーションの中心にあります。
